Some will perhaps remember the leapfrogging young boy and girl who welcomed travelers as they entered Albany on Key Route Boulevard-- and the unfortunate events which caused their departure. After they had vanished, services were held and most people assumed that they had gone to meet their maker (a factory in Korea). Not so!! AlbanyCentral’s foreign correspondent recently discovered them happily sitting in a store window in Ireland, of all places. Their stay in Albany was obviously not totally in vain. While here, the little girl clearly developed a deep love for dogs (so typical of Albany residents), and if you will look closely, you’ll see she has acquired a cute little puppy..
